Our practice has two fully qualified RGN practice nurses, Diana Morris and Anna Sayce together with two fully qualified Health Care Assistants, Jackie and Rachel.
Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with issues such as contraception, healthy living advice, cytology, blood pressure checks and dressings. They also check patients’ hearts with ECG equipment and review lung function using spirometry machines.
The practice nurses run clinics for long-term conditions such as asthma, diabetes, stroke, heart and kidney disease. They undertake all of our vaccinations including our annual flu clinics.
Jackie is an accredited healthcare assistant and takes many of the samples for blood testing. She has increased her scope to initiate disease monitoring and prevention and is our lead on NHS health checks. Jackie has also undertaken extra training in Cancer care.
Rachel is an accredited healthcare assistant and in addition to her regular role is the practice champion for Carers and patients who have suffered from domestic abuse.
